UC Berkeley Summer Sessions

Once a year, UC Berkeley opens their door to students around the world to take participative courses and enjoy the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area.  Over 2,000 of more than 14,000 students are visitors from outside the U.S. The student diversity on campus provides the opportunity to make friends with students from across the U.S. and around the world.

This is the only time students do not need to go through the complicated and competitive admission process and can study at UC Berkeley then to receive UC Berkeley course credits and an official transcript at the end of the session.

Berkeley ranks first nationally in the public universities in USA, and is number 4 all over the world. There are 7 Nobel Laureates, 28 MacArthur Fellows, and 4 Pulitzer Prize winners among its active faculty. Recently, its application condition is so strict that there are only 5 to 7 Chinese applicants obtain the admission each year. Summer is the only time of year when enrollment at UC Berkeley is open to visiting students from across the U.S. and the world.
